Profiles
Selena Do
B.S. CM
"I love the intersection between design, human behavior, and technology. I find it rewarding to solve real world problems through the power and importance of understanding digital media and culture. Working at CoLab gave me opportunities to explore this area."
Adam LeDoux
B.S. CM
"Computational Media taught me how to see the computer not just as a tool, but as a medium for artistic expression, and it taught me to view the making of art as the technological process it always has been."
Jessica Anderson
M.S. DM
"Through my artwork and work with institutions, I challenge myself and my colleagues to think critically and creatively about digital technologies and the ways that we apply them in our lives."
Michael Vogel
M.S. DM
Alumni Michael Vogel proves that media and the humanities can make the biggest impact by combining strengths. “I have no interest in pursuing tech for tech’s sake — tech development needs to be tempered with social good.”
Nettrice Gaskins
Ph.D. DM
"Engaging with these diverse audiences is allowing us to knock down some of the barriers to access that have plagued digital technology for many, many years. I think that we have an opportunity to make the connections and really help people come into this field as it is emerging and evolving."
Duane Stanford
B.S. LMC
"I’m currently producing a monthly variety show called Hottie Bop in Manhattan — we book all of the acts, set up the light and sound cues (Qlab!), operate the board, host & perform. It’s a BLAST. We have a residency at Under St Marks in the lower east side. I also am producing a show at the Brooklyn Comedy Collective called “Citizens United: The Musical” that dives into the splintering of the Supreme Court. I started my freshman year at Ivan Allen in 2014, and during my time at Tech I performed with DramaTech, improvised with Let’s Try This!, joined the rookie company at Dad’s Garage Theatre, and worked as a freelance videographer & editor for dozens of companies around Atlanta. I used to work at CoLab between/after classes all the time — and every day I use the design skills that I learned on those computers.
