DramaTech's The Safety Show & After the Quake

Project Overview

Built as a theatrical laboratory, DramaTech Theatre uses technology to enhance theatrical productions. This means going beyond projection as a scenic design. Projects have included the creation of an interactive app to coincide with Mark Gindick’s production of Wingman, use of Microsoft Kinects, project and EV wire in our production of After the Quake, and use of augmented reality in The Safety Show. These shows were created in conjunction with a special topics course that looked at use of technology to support the dramaturgy to enhance rather than embellish a theatrical production.
