Project Overview
"Being a part of the GMC master's program at Tech inspired me to tap into my cultural experiences as concentrations for my artwork. Here, vibrant colors and lively design emphasize certain aspects of Senegalese culture that I remember from my time studying abroad there.
In creating this digital art piece, I created a reflection of Fatou Mané, an influential figure to people in Senegal and the rest of the world. Her image, her colors, and her expression are her legacy to me. And the medium is the message. Art is key in helping me be able to share this legacy with others while raising awareness on the importance and excitement of experiencing other cultures within one’s lifetime."
